A) WHAT IS COVERED?
The warranty period commences on the date when the vehicle is first invoiced.
BASIC COVERAGE PERIOD
Lexus warrants that it will repair or replace any part of a new Lexus vehicle that is defective, in either material or workmanship, under normal use (with the exception of items listed under ‘Exclusions‘) for a period of 4 years / 100,000 kilometres (whichever comes first). Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent vehicle owner(s).
Corporate vehicle’s (limited warranty) are covered by warranty terms and conditions which are specified in the individual purchase contract, between the organisation and Al-Futtaim Motors. Tyres, batteries, leather, rubber and plastics are all excluded from the fourth and fifth year of warranty cover. In order for you to receive the benefits of this warranty cover, your Lexus vehicle must be maintained and serviced in accordance with the Lexus service schedule at an authorised Al-Futtaim Motors Service Centre. Any repair or maintenance carried out at an independent service centre will invalidate this warranty.
During the first 24 months of service (with unlimited kilometres), a defective original equipment battery will be replaced with the compliments of Al-Futtaim Motors. Should the battery fail after 24 months of service, but prior to three years (up to unlimited kilometres), it will be replaced under warranty at a 50 percent cost to the customer.
SURFACE RUST AND PAINT DEFECTS
Any body sheet metal found, under normal use, to have developed a perforation from corrosion due to defects in material or workmanship is warranted for 6 years regardless of mileage.
If your vehicle is rendered inoperative due to the failure of a warranted part, the vehicle recovery service to the nearest Al-Futtaim Motors Service Centre will be covered.
Tyre defects are covered under a separate warranty provided by the tyre manufacturer and honoured through their UAE distributor.
Approved warranty repairs will be made at no cost using only Lexus Genuine Parts, approved materials and trained labour.
The Lexus warranty is only valid within the country to which the vehicle was originally exported by the manufacturer, and honoured by the distributor or dealer whose name is stamped in the warranty booklet provided.
B) WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Repairs and adjustments required as a result of normal wear and tear or misuse, for example, racing, overloading, negligence, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper adjustments or repairs, accidents and use of add-on parts or materials.
Cosmetic or surface corrosion from stone chips or scratches in the paint are not covered. Damage or surface corrosion from the environment such as acid rain, airborne fall-out (chemicals or tree sap), salt, hail, windstorms, lightning and floods are not covered.
EXTERNAL FACTORS BEYOND THE MANUFACTURER’S CONTROL
Chips, scratches or damage of any kind is excluded.

NORMAL NOISE, VIBRATION AND DETERIORATION
Normal noise, vibration, wear and tear or deterioration such as discolouration, fading, deformation or blur due to age or mileage, are not covered.
The warranty is rendered void on any vehicle in which the odometer mileage has been tampered with in any way.
Incidental or consequential expenses or damage such as telephone calls, loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss in any way whatsoever are not covered.
C) OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITIES MAINTENANCE
You are responsible for properly operating, maintaining, and caring for your Lexus vehicle, with an authorised dealer, in accordance to the instructions in your Owner’s Manual. If your vehicle is subject to use under severe driving conditions, you should follow the maintenance requirements specified in your Owner’s Manual.
You are responsible for keeping maintenance records as it may be necessary in some instances for you to show that the required maintenance has been performed.
TOURING/RELOCATION TO ANOTHER COUNTRY
If you are touring or relocating to another country and a problem arises, please consult your new local Lexus dealer. The warranty service may not be provided by the local dealer, because your Lexus vehicle may not comply with the regulatory and/or environmental requirements of that country. Your vehicle was designed and built to resist corrosion. Application of additional rust inhibiting materials is not necessary, nor is it required in order to keep the six-year warranty coverage in effect.
E) WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PROTECT YOUR LEXUS AGAINST CORROSION?
In order to protect your vehicle against corrosion, it is important that you clean your vehicle regularly, following these suggestions:

■ If insects, tar, bird droppings, condensation or other similar deposits have accumulated on your vehicle, wash it away as soon as possible.
■ Wash your vehicle in the shade.
■ If you drive on salted or dusty roads, or if you drive near the seaside, hose off the under carriage at least once a month. Under certain conditions, special care should be taken to protect your Lexus vehicle against corrosion.

■ If you detect any stone chips or scratches in the paint, touch them up immediately.
■ If you drive a lot on gravel roads, consider installing mud or stone shields behind each wheel.
