Evolving from the ‘Human Centre Silhouette’ concept, the ‘Spindle Architecture’ is a three-dimensional construction originating at the iconic spindle grille that is unmistakably Lexus. Seamlessly integrated into the dynamic proportions of the front end and the lowered LED headlamps, the grille defines a sense of precision and sportiness that continues along the lines flowing towards the rear of the car.

The front profile exudes a powerful and poised presence, low and agile, while the rear tapers to a widened base to realise a coupe-like silhouette. The dynamic form created by the front and rear flares, and the ‘Spindle Architecture’, accentuate the appeal of powerful Lexus driving. The additional 15mm dimensions each side gained from the larger tire diameter has been used entirely for widening the flares, creating a wide and low stance for enhanced performance and agility.

Taken as a whole, the exterior design of the car is a sculpture shaped to express the thrilling performance and luxury that the Lexus IS embodies.

The exterior can be further enhanced by exclusive F Sport Performance upgrades, with exterior features such as an elevated hood, stacked quad exhaust tips, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, you’ll find a race-inspired cockpit and exclusive F SPORT Performance badging.

Every element of the Lexus IS has evolved from the ‘Human Centre Silhouette’ concept, which designs the car around the driver in every way. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the sports-inspired cockpit. Daring details like the accent stitching along the dash and larger, circular air vents reminiscent of jet turbines, and the shift knob and steering wheel trimmed in hand-selected leather, complement the convenient multimedia touchscreen display featuring Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Every interior element is centred around the driver.
Advanced technologies include one of the most sophisticated 3D audio technologies available in an automobile, as well as the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, a class-leading integrated suite of the most advanced standard active safety equipment ever included in an IS.
