New face of Lexus drives substantial sales growth

NX and RC enjoy outstanding success in the UAE

Dubai, UAE, August 23, 2015: The recently launched all-new turbocharged Lexus NX and the two-door RC coupe are two new star performers within the Lexus line-up, contributing among other key models to around 8% growth in Lexus sales at Al-Futtaim Motors.

“In addition to the great performance of NX and RC, Lexus’ strong line-up is performing very well across different segments. 2015 H1 sales of Lexus IS for instance were up 17% compared to the same period last year while Lexus RX posted 32% increase during the same period,” said Saud Abbasi, Managing Director of Lexus at Al-Futtaim Motors.

Earlier this year, Lexus penetrated a brand new fast growing segment in the UAE with the launch of the turbocharged Lexus NX. The compact crossover proved to be popular prior to its arrival in the country with very high numbers of pre-orders.
